Heating & Cooling
South Australia enjoys hot summers and comparatively cold winters. Our 1909 stone building keeps the rooms cooler in Summer & warmer in Winter. Reverse cycle air conditioning in the main bedroom, flows through to the TV lounge. There are overhead fans in all rooms & we supply extra heaters for bedrooms and electric blankets during Winter.
Satellite TV & library
Relax and enjoy a variety of extra channels on Satellite TV or choose a DVD from our extensive collection. We have an extra TV in the shop retreat for children to watch a movie while parents are entertained with their favourite TV series, tennis, or football. Choose some short stories to read or browse through our library of history books. There are also board games for children to amuse themselves, while parents relax in the front veranda courtyard with afternoon tea or a bottle of wine.
Well-equipped kitchen
Our 1960’s, well equipped Country kitchen is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends. We provide modern appliances, an electric oven with ceramic stove top, a stainless-steel fry pan & a microwave…. or may be you would prefer to use the Gas BBQ outdoors. The Spalding Café provides coffee & plenty of options for lunches & the Spalding Hotel is also very conveniently situated across the road, for dinners, takeaways, or a bottle of wine to compliment your meal.
Bath, Shower & Laundry
After a day out walking or fishing, relax in a luxurious, hot bath. Our 1960s bathroom has a deep bath & separate shower with towels and toiletries supplied. There are two separate toilet rooms for larger groups and the laundry has a front loading, washing machine & tumble dryer. Your bikes can also be safely stored in our large laundry room.
Private Garden, Rainwater tank & Under cover parking
If you are looking for accommodation that is peaceful and private, Country Bakehouse Accommodation is your ideal choice. We only take one booking at a time to ensure your privacy. Our residence is your “home away from home” with a green garden view which adds peace. There is a large rain water tank to ensure that guests have fresh water, and the back pergola provides safe under cover parking.
