Welcome to Country bakehouse Accommodation. Located in a peaceful garden setting in the small, country town of Spalding SA, our character bed & breakfast is strategically positioned at the heart of Mid North tourist destinations. Country bakehouse Accommodation is a uniquely, restored, baker’s residence, tastefully furnished with quality antiques & modern furnishings for your comfort & relaxation. Spalding is central to the historic town of Burra, the wine region of Clare, Crystal Brook and towns in the Lower Flinders’ Ranges. We offer a great day out site seeing and a choice of winery tours & restaurants. Our small township, situated between 4 fresh water rivers & the Bundaleer Reservoir is your perfect venue for a day out fishing for Trout or Perch or if you prefer bike riding or walking we are situated right on the Heysen & Mawson Trails which meet at Spalding.

Exceptional Experience. Lovely house, beautiful garden, sofa, tables, chairs, paintings on the wall, coffee, fruits, fantastic breakfast provisions. All rooms have overhead ceiling fans & the Main bedroom has air conditioning. Leave the door open on cool nights & it also cools the living/lounge area.
Country bakehouse is a beautifully restored heritage property, very comfortable and cosy. Carol is a wonderful host. Everything is just right, lovely breakfast too.

The beds are comfortable and Carol excelled herself with generous breakfast provisions including my request for Gluten free items. What more would you want for a wonderful stay.
This house is highly recommended for everyone. It’s a pleasure to stay. You feel like you are home. Host, Carol was unbelievably generous. She treated us as family – lots of food in the fridge, fruit drinks, excellent facilities for a BBQ, immaculately clean house. We were so pleasantly surprised as it was a much higher standard than our expectations.

We had a lovely stay. Home was extra clean, spacious, plenty of room for all 7 of us. Lovely garden, secure for our pet. Two TV’s to satisfy adults & teenagers. Books, games, plenty of seating & everything we needed including Continental breakfast provisions supplied in the Country Kitchen.
